When Love Collides gets five hearts from The Romance Studio!

What does that mean exactly? It goes up for vote on their site today between 5 and 7 PM EST for the 5 Heart Sweetheart Vote beginning 6/25/12...
Above is a link if you want to vote. And by all means, support me and get the book if you are in the mood for a love story. The reviewer highlights a lot of bummer stuff that is their backstory, but not necessarily in the book. The book is actually uplifting because of the healing message, and though she sort of says that at the end, she lists all the bummer backstory that is not necessarily happening in the novel when you read it. This history is just part of who they are and where they came from when the story begins. And just so you know... the book is a love story more than a romance. And yes, you will shed a few tears. Oh, and it won't show up on the list to vote until tonight so if you look for it now it won't be there. I have gotten two other 5 heart reviews from TRS, but this is the first time my book was up for vote. I'm a weeee bit excited about that.

Grace Awards are a coming...

Grace Awards... expanding the tent pegs of Christian Fiction. (that's a great motto!)

Here's what you need to know for now...

The Grace Awards is reader driven. That means in the first round readers vote for novels in five categories:

Women’s Fiction (serious women’s issues, can have humor and/or suspense elements).

Contemporary Romance/Historical Romance (the primary element is love/marriage, be it now or then).

Suspense/Thriller/Mystery/Romantic Suspense/ Detective Series (crime fiction, there’s probably a body). Why you like the story: (At least 25 words)

Speculative Fiction Title (SciFi, fantasy, horror, etc.).

Action Adventure/Western/Historic Epic Fiction (exploits, quest, a feel of wide open spaces, expansive).

Young Adult (appeals to ages 15 – 21-ish).

Voting will begin on December 31st. Anyone who reads faith-based, inspy, Christian themed novels can vote. Authors can vote…but not for their own novel. Judges and Grace Awards Board members can vote…but not for a novel they’ve written. Anyone who reads Christian fiction can vote…but not until December 31st.

This blog will have detailed instructions for voting. Stay tuned.

I need your vote. Which music fits the video trailer best?

If you provide some feedback and help me decide which video should be the one I use for promotion, then I will enter you into a drawing for any book of mine that you want. Yes, that's the deal. ANY book. Now if you have all of my books, I will even stretch it to include any other book I own by another author. So that's it. The winner gets to choose.

All you have to do to enter is watch all three videos (each is about a minute long) and vote on the one that fits the book the best given the pictures and the wording shown. Which creates a feel that really makes you want to read the book? That is what I am looking for. Refer your friends, too, and if they mention that you sent them here to vote, you'll get your name in the drawing again for each friend you refer. I am looking for the most feedback I can get. So if you refer three friends then you get four entries. One for you and three more for friends. Oh, and your friends get entered, too. So go for it! I'll select a winner once I get enough comments that I feel satisfied that the input I am getting will help me choose the best one. Thanks everyone! Oh, and if you REALLY want to read Letting Go, and your name is drawn as the winner, remind me in January and I'll send you a copy of the book the moment I get my author copies. Thank you so much!

I need help ASAP deciding on the cover. They need the decision this weekend!

The final cover chosen for this project WILL be either # 3 or #7. I just need help deciding which one is the most attractive cover or which cover will pique the buyer's curiosity the most! So... here is the scoop. The heroine was a child beauty queen and now she's 29. She's too beautiful and can't seem to find the right guy because they always want to use her, not love her for herself. She's given up on men. The hero is a single dad who is adopting his foster child. He needs to hire an attorney (the heroine) to fight for his rights when the state threatens to take away his foster son. So which will it be? Help me decide and post your comment. For a close up view (to blow up the size of the pic) just click on it and it should fill your monitor. Thanks!

Comparing and contrasting. Narrowed down cover options.

Here is the deal. There are some themes and there are different effects. This top book is decided on. It WILL be the first cover for the first book. The second book deals with their lives as they leave the affair and return to their families and that is why it's titled Their Separate Ways. Now it's not a glorification of sin, but rather a look at the consequences of sin even when you repent and turn away from it. That said, these two covers below are consistent in theme for the books. The next two books are split covers to show them individually and how they are dealing with things emotionally. That's why the guy looks sad and the girl looks happy. One knows the Lord and the other does not. So the bottom two pics are the other options, however the pics for the first one (guy on top) cost five times more for the photos than the second one (guy on bottom). So this is it. It's either going to be one of the beds to go with the first book, or the split cover showing them separately. If we use the one with the people on the cover it needs to feel closest to the first book so people see that it is a series. Okay, now comments are appreciated. Even if the cover you like isn't picked, I hope you would still consider reading the novels in order, unless you are under 18. These stories contain adult situations and therefore and not appropriate for teens. I would rather not have a cover that teens would be attracted to for that reason. That's why the first cover has a bed on it. Thanks!

And the second set here...

American Idol for covers here! Which cover sings the most. Please vote!

Think of this as American Idol for book covers. We're eliminating all but the best covers that fit the theme of the book. So which is your favorite of these and then the winner goes head to head with the favorite in the first series of five. Please explain why you love (or don't love) a cover. You guys are the best! Oh, and here is the revised description. PLEASE read first as it has altered slightly. Thanks!!!

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing when you experience it in marriage... But what if you don't?

What happened in the hearts of Tony Perotta and Hope Williams after the affair was exposed and they went their separate ways? Did they ever struggle with memories from their past relationship, or with wishing things would've turned out differently? Was trust ever restored in their homes after their lives crashed and burned around them? Did they ever heal enough to enjoy their marriages as before, or were they even worse off after their sin was revealed?

Their Separate Ways continues the saga the year after the exposure of Tony and Hope's extramarital affair. It's an honest and close-up look at the inner workings of each of their hearts as they reflect on the painful memories resulting from that devastating choice. Experience with them the vast difference between couples who know true forgiveness and who have hope, and those who don't.

Vote on a cover, please. Your input is needed!

These are just two possible mockups for the sequel to Never Without Hope. The sequel is called Their Separate Ways and these are the possible covers. Does one in particular appeal to you and why? Which would you be more likely to pick up and buy?

Here is the book description...

What happened in the hearts of Tony Perotta and Hope Williams after they went their separate ways? Did they ever struggle with memories from their past relationship, or with wishing things would've turned out differently? Did they have regrets and as the result have dreams for their lives that went unfulfilled? Was trust ever restored in their homes after their lives crashed and burned around them? Did they ever heal enough to enjoy their marriages as before, or were they even worse off after their sin was exposed? Did each experience true remorse and repentance because of their sin, or was it just the shame of being caught that made them hang their heads?

Their Separate Ways is the story about the year following the exposure of Tony and Hope's extramarital affair. It's an honest and close-up look at the inner workings of each of their hearts as they reflect on their short-lived affair and the painful memories. Experience with them the vast difference between couples who know true forgiveness and who have hope, and those who don't.

Now for the two cover options...

Compare covers for me please and post your opinion...

Please tell me which you like better. I'm probably going to have the publisher change the font for the words, so I'm only talking overall design feel here. At first, I thought the top one was too plain? But maybe it isn't. Suggestions? The picture stays, it's the other stuff I'm thinking about tweaking. Your comments are appreciated. So should I keep the border or dump it? Thanks! For a description of the book content, see the previous post...

First Impressions by Michelle Sutton

First Impressions by Michelle Sutton

My cover is up for a vote on the Classic Romance Revival site. Polls close Sunday 2-7-10. The bummer is they had the wrong cover up on the view page until yesterday so from 1-23-10 until 2-1-10 people couldn't see mine, they saw someone else's. Anyway, it's fixed now. The vote button was always there, just not the right picture. Can we even it out some? Look at all five covers and then vote for the best one. I'm the only inspirational book in the bunch. :) And the cover artist gets recognition for her good work if my book is selected. But only vote for mine if you like it best! Click on the link above to see them.

Here is the link to the voting section if you want to vote for my cover. :)

It's COVER time! I need your opinion ASAP!

Here you go. These are four mock ups for the new cover. It will not be exactly like any one of these below. However, I need feedback from people who are either aged 16-25 or who have children who are 16-25 that you may buy the book for. I need to know which style/design appeals the most to that demographic. So here is what I need. State your age and if you aren't 16-25 say how old you are or if you have kids that age or know kids that age. I need data by this weekend so tell everyone you know. Thanks!!! (Oh, and just so you know the first book in the series is listed at the end to remind you of the look of the first book. Do NOT comment on #5!)

Do not comment on this one as it's already in print #5

She is barely keeping her head above water when she finds out she is expecting a child.

As Angelica struggles to keep her marriage and her life together, she becomes uneasy about the health of her unborn child, concerned about the toll weeks of morning sickness and long hours on an important legal case are taking. Then a terrible accident occurs, ending her life as she has known it. She wonders if God is still in control. How can the chaos that surrounds her be transformed into hope and a future?

This book won the 2007 Excellence in Media Silver Angel Award www.angelawards.com

The Fragrance of Roses (Book 3 of 3)

But now, ten years later, they are more deeply in love than ever and looking forward to raising their two children and building a future.

Then tragedy strikes a devastating blow and her child’s life hangs in the balance, bringing into question everything they have ever believed. With waning faith and little hope they walk through the valley of the shadow of death. The journey leads deep into Mexico. Suffocating with fear and powerless to stop the downward spiral of their lives, God reveals His truth.
