New giveaway! Now I'm giving away Days of Vines and Roses by Linda Wood Rondeau

About the book:

When a romance writer and her estranged publisher husband attempt to reconcile, malignant forces and a pending lawsuit seem bent on keeping them apart. After fifteen years of marital disarray, Henry and Sylvia Fitzgibbons (aka Lana Longstreet) independently contemplate divorce, their relationship relegated to Henry’s infrequent visits to the Connecticut estate and their once a week meeting at Chez Phillipe’s in Manhattan. But, not yet. There is the matter of the decaying rose gardens and the thirtieth anniversary party the children are planning. Reluctantly, Henry moves in for the summer, steeled against the hauntings that torment only him. As reconciliation seems possible, the evil forces within begin to target Sylvia as well. Like the strangling vines within the rose beds, Henry and Sylvia have become victims of spiritual neglect. Their only hope remains in surrender to a power greater than the evil determined to destroy them.

My thoughts: I should get this book soon, so hopefully I will have a review posted before the summer. It sounds good, doesn't it? (The winner will receive an e-version of this book.)

Now for the question: Do you enjoy stories that have spiritual warfare theme in them? If you do, what is it that intrigues you most about this theme in a novel?

Hi Michelle and Linda, I like those kinds of books that are intense. Mary Nealy/Connealy wrote Ten Plagues that dealt with spiritual warfare and it was really good.

I like the reminder that there's more to what's going on than the eye can see or the mind perceive.

Thanks for the post Michelle.

Days of Vines and Roses is not only about Satan's quest to consume the home and the marriage, but also his quest for Sylvia's soul. Like the centuries old rose gardens strangled by encroaching vines, Sylvia's soul is threatened from neglect and a complete surrender to her writer's alter ego.
