About the book:
Following up on the adventures of men in uniform in Frasier Island and Finding Marie, Susan Page Davis offers readers another suspenseful novel of international diplomacy and romance.
Claudia Gillette, an upscale magazine correspondent, will go to any lengths for a good story. Bill White, a navy lieutenant, performs secret missions all over the world. Attraction sizzles between them, but these two can't synchronize their globe-trotting watches long enough for a date. Claudia also has more than romance in mind...she wants the inside story on Bill's exotic assignments.
When she goes over his head and obtains permission to join his outfit on a sensitive mission in the Philippines, Bill is both angry and afraid for her. Will her presence endanger his team? When things go badly, only faith in God can give them hope for tomorrow...but even if they both make it, what's the inside scoop on Bill and Claudia having a future together?
My thoughts:
I loved the first two books in the series so I know I'll love this one, too. Susan Page Davis is an excellent suspense writer and always keeps me on the edge of my seat. the "brain work", i think. i have to be careful what i read and when i read it at the moment but i am missing some of what i used to read...like legal thrillers, for example.
anyways, i'm entering for this book because i just got given the first two in the series for my birthday earlier this month. :)
i love everything about suspense novels and I am currently reading the alphabet series by Sue Grafton and they are fabulous!
I like suspense because it keeps you guessing. They're not as predictable as some books are. As far as specific suspense novels, I loved the first two in this series and Dee Henderson's books are amazing.

like suspense novels- they keep you going and you think you have it solved then it doesn't go the way you thought- I love it
What a great question! I guess I like suspense because it keeps my attention better. I have to know what's going to happen and it's fun to guess. . . so different than real life where I know how the laundry and housecleaning will turn out. Well, sometimes dinner concoctions are pretty suspenseful!

I enjoy the chase of a suspense novel. Not really the scary kind but the "edge of your seat" kind. I like finding out in the end that it wasn't who I thought!
As far as a favorite, Susan Page Davis is in that catagory especially Fraiser Island. But also at the top is DiAnn Mill's "When the Lion Roars" and "When the Nile Runs Red". Those keep you on the edge of your seat as well as open your eyes to some of the atrocities happening in our world today!

Robert Liparules Dream House Kings Series is good.
I'm reading Daniel's Den right now.
I don't know my favorite all time suspense, but I really enjoyed the newest one by Irene Hannon titled Against All Odds.
I like to mix suspense with regular Christian Fiction.

I love mysteries and suspense books, why, because I always try to stretch my imagination by solving the mystery before the book tells you the solution or resolves the mystery. A good mystery I read recently is "The Spy who came for Christmas", I enjoyed the basic story yet I loved the mystery behind the wise men which was also detailed in this book. A great read!

I don't know exactly what it is but I enjoy reading and can't wait to find that book that I can't put down until I read that one more paragraph or maybe the next double space to start a new thought or maybe the next chapter. LOL I love to read one that is hard to put down be it suspense, romance or just plain old family living!!

I liked the first two books in this series. I also like photography so this should be interesting if they actually make the lady work. Some authors seem to forget that the characters have jobs.

Hey, Sylvia! Love your comment. Yes, Claudia actually works in the book--a lot. However, she usually has a photographer along with her, and it's Tommy Knowlton who rakes in the awards for great photos, no matter what the cover of the book shows you. You'll find Claudia to be a hard-working writer who loves to go for the story that's hard to get. Unfortunately, she also has to bail Tommy out sometimes when he gets in trouble. Like when his passport is stolen in Peru, or when. . .well, I'll let you read it and decide whether YOU think Claudia should cover for him or make him grow up and take responsibility for his own actions. And that's just a minor sideplot to the story.
You are going to love this book!
