I especially want to hear back from people who READ my reviews regularly and from authors and publishers who SEND me their books to be reviewed.
Since I am getting further and further behind on reading I was thinking about having a few guest reviewers help me whittle down my pile. My problem is this...people sent me the book hoping I will read it. Do you think most authors would rather wait for me, or do you think they'd prefer a review even if someone else did it as long as it shows up on my blog.
Soooo.... review them all myself, or get a few reviewers to help?
What should I do?
Thanks for your input!

LOL, everywhere I go, there's your pile! I can only imagine how you feel =P
IMHO...I think it would somewhat depend on who you choose. If it's someone who's done reviews and has a good understanding of what to look for and what constitutes good writing, I see no reason not to get some help. I only foresee you getting farther behind every month and imagine you won't have a choice, sooner rather than later.
I have been coming to your blog for a few weeks now, and it seems to me that if that huge stack is what is yet to be read, I'd ask for help! There are so many folks doing great reviews. Couldn't hurt to ask anyway. I know I'm reading at a furious pace myself, so getting behind could happen easily. As long as you are giving it your best effort, what more can anyone ask?
Thanks for sharing so many great books!

I say get some help. I know you're a great reviewer, but as long as it's on your blog, I don't think it matters who is reviewing, as long as it's a tried-and-true person you know will do a good job.
Hope this helps,
Karri
OMG! You need help. Suggest you invite others to help, have them review a book you've already read (a while ago, so they can't copy yours), and test the waters. Through screening, you can feel more confident in their reviews. When you assign a new book to someone else, scan it yourself and test the review. Once they are on your blog, you'll feel more confident that they gave it their best and your stamp of approval. You go girl!
Most people would probably want you to do it, but, if it will take several months will be content to have someone else do the review. The key is the traffic you have coming to your website.
Just my two cents!
MMM Im conflicted on this one. For your sake I'd say yes ask for help but be careful who you ask.
On that note.. if you need someone I'd love to help. LOL :)
