New Giveaway! Enter for a chance to win Baby, It's Cold Outside by Susan May Warren

Well, I hear this book is so popular that they ran out, which is why I never got a review copy. Oh well. If I get it later I will still want to read it. One reviewer said it was a bit like a Scrooge story. So here is the question you need to answer to get your entry in... Do you like the book The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens? If yes, why does the story appeal to you? I will select a winner next weekend using the Randomizer program.

About the book:

Five strangers with broken hearts. One raging blizzard. Brrr, baby, it’s cold outside! But a warm fire and a string of Christmas lights just might provide the perfect remedy.

It's been years since Edith Miller hosted the annual Snowflake, MN, Christmas Extravaganza. After her son was killed in the war, some five years ago, her Christmas spirit died along with him. So she is more than happy to loan all her Christmas decorations to Stella Hanson, the new teacher in town. After all, what does she have to celebrate?

But when the blizzard of the decade traps Stella—and four other wanderers—in Edith’s home, Edith finds that by opening her door, she just might open her heart to a new reason celebrate Christmas.

I do like the Christmas carol, it is one Dickens book I really like. I like it because it has a good lesson, we can get consumed with making money, and what is all wrong with Christmas or celebrating holidays in general
that we forget that we can help others not have the same life events that we have had that hurt us.

First of all, Thanks for another great giveaway.. Would love to win and read. As far a The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, I love the book as well as the original movie, and usually try to read or watch it after Thanksgiving or at the very beginning of Dec. Why, because it keeps me in the right spirit of Christmas. Again thanks for the review here and the book giveaway..

Yes, I like The Christmas Carole. As a child I like all the spooky characters, but of course the moral of the story says it all.

Would love to read Susan's book.

I like The Christmas Carol because it reminds us all we are all human and we make misstakes. Scrooge over the years has become so bitter and cruel but as the ghost show him his past and the future he learns how to open his heart again. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read this book.

I've heard AMAZING things about this book. Hope to get my hands on it soon. :)

I haven't really been a fan of Dickens, I did read Oliver Twist in high school, but never really got into the "Scrooge" story. Maybe I would if I had the time to give it half a chance. Ha!

I love watching the Patrick Stewart movie version of A Christmas Carol every Christmas (never read it), and when I was little I adored the Mickey Mouse version. I enjoy it because it's a story of second chances, and it reminds me to look at my own heart and examine what needs changing.
