Vote on a cover, please. Your input is needed!

These are just two possible mockups for the sequel to Never Without Hope. The sequel is called Their Separate Ways and these are the possible covers. Does one in particular appeal to you and why? Which would you be more likely to pick up and buy?

Here is the book description...

What happened in the hearts of Tony Perotta and Hope Williams after they went their separate ways? Did they ever struggle with memories from their past relationship, or with wishing things would've turned out differently? Did they have regrets and as the result have dreams for their lives that went unfulfilled? Was trust ever restored in their homes after their lives crashed and burned around them? Did they ever heal enough to enjoy their marriages as before, or were they even worse off after their sin was exposed? Did each experience true remorse and repentance because of their sin, or was it just the shame of being caught that made them hang their heads?

Their Separate Ways is the story about the year following the exposure of Tony and Hope's extramarital affair. It's an honest and close-up look at the inner workings of each of their hearts as they reflect on their short-lived affair and the painful memories. Experience with them the vast difference between couples who know true forgiveness and who have hope, and those who don't.

Now for the two cover options...

though #2 is visually beautiful, #1 speaks more to me. I want to know more of what's inside looking at #1.

#2 shows more remorse, at least on his part.

Not an easy choice. I like the first one, but maybe for a different story. I like #2 to go along with the storyline, It looks like the guy is still struggling while the gal looks free.

#1 grabs my attention faster-- but #2 is more in line with the book description.

I vote for #2, because it shows both individuals' response to separate ways. The first one only shows one person's choice.

I like #2. To me it's a better cover and I would be more apt to pick it up, but #2 looks a little more like a nonfiction cover than #1.

Hi Michelle,

I love number 2 - it shows both the sorrow before forgivness and the freedom after.

I would pick up #2 in a heartbeat! He has the appearance of beseeching which says alot while she is care free, dancing in a field. Yeah, absolutely #2! You don't even need to read the back of the book to know what is going on here.

#1 is my favorite. A strong visual that makes you wonder what's about to happen...

I like them both but I like the emotion of Cover 2.

I would have to say #2 just because it shows the emotions of BOTH the main characters of the book however Hope looks a little too happy to match the book's synopsis!

XOXO~ Renee

I'd be more apt to pick up #2, if I were shopping for a book in a bookstore.

I always prefer covers without a full-on face shot - more "scope for imagination" as Anne Shirley would say.

Have to go with #1

Cover #1 because it begs more of a question. (Cover #2 seems to suggest a conclusion, or at least a possibility, what with him banging his head and her appearing carefree.)

I like #2, but if the female character is suppose to be remorseful this would not be the cover to show that. #1 looks intriguing but gives me the impression the book will be written from the male perspective. Either way, I think they are both captivating.

I cast my vote for #2. I love the cover of #1 and you should definitely use it for another book, but #2 says it all.

Beautiful, beautiful covers! That's one fabulously talented book cover designer!

I vote for #2. #1 is very evocative, but it makes more sense with the title to show both people.

Aww man, I love them both, but I'm drawn to the first one.

I am drawn to Cover #2

I like #2 the most, but would like it better if they were standing back to back, a little apart. The way it is now looks like he is miserable about the break-up and she is happy about it.

I like cover #2 best. I don't like the title "sign" on cover #1. The color just isn't right with the rest of the cover. It also just shows one person instead of both. The font used is better on cover #2 also.
