Now I'm giving away Once in a Blue Moon by Leanna Ellis

Well, this is going to be a tricky one to do a question for so to enter for a chance to win this book how about you post a comment about anyone you know who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. If nothing fits this then just read the description and just say why you want to read this book. I have no comment because I haven't read it, nor do I have the book, but I have read two other books by Ellis and she is good at writing about grief and tugging on your heartstrings. I will select a winner with the Randomizer program next Sunday!

About the book:

Bryn Seymour was nine years old when her mother died under mysterious circumstances on the same day Apollo 11 made its historic lunar landing. Forty years later—divorced, working as an obituary writer, and duly cynical—she meets Howard, a conspiracy theorist who knew her mom and believes a small Texas town may hold clues to what really fueled her demise. Seeking closure, Bryn goes along for this men-in-black ride. But upon meeting Howard’s son Sam, an outspoken Christian, she can’t decide whose beliefs are more pie-in-the-sky.The gravity of life has pulled Bryn down for decades. But a perfect love could be her first step to soaring. It only happens once in a blue moon.

I don't recall anyone I know disappearing under mysterious circumstances, but I do have a very special friend I can't seem to find. When I was in high school (my senior year), Sue and I became best of friends. We spent lots of time together and had great fun! After we graduated, I moved 2,500 miles away, but we still kept in contact and about once a year, we would spend hours talking on the phone (this was back in the day before cell phones and you had to pay long-distance charges). Several years ago, I lost contact with Sue and I've spent the last year trying to find her. I've contacted several mutual friends and they never hear from her, either. Someday, I hope to get back in touch with her, so I'll keep trying.

I think the concept is interesting because you don't come across many books written in this era. :)

I don't know about one personally, but I did read a book about a mysterious disappearance called The Teresa Ferrara Story. It was something else, and in the end I still don't know what I believe.

This book looks very intriguing. I think I would get wound tight into reading it.

I don't know anyone in my life who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

I saw the trailer for this book a couple of months ago and it was really cute. The main character of the story sounds funny and interesting.

I've never known anyone who personally disappeared under strange circumstances. I'm interested in the plot, especially centered around the Apollo 11 landing because the Apollo missions is a particular interest of mine.

Hmmmm...

There was that one time... many years ago... empty tomb, a body was missing a few days I believe...

BUT praise God He came back again... rose from the dead so to speak! And now seated at the right hand of our Father...

(Sort of cheating yes... but Jesus is the only one I know of personally that has ever 'mysteriously' dissapeared!)

When I was a child, my uncle had a "friend" that he used to bet with on football games. One day, this man just disappeared. When I got older, I learned that he owed money to the "Wrong people" and he either went into hiding or was "taken care of". Either way, my uncle never heard from him, again.

I can't think of anyone that I have encountered in my life that has gone missing under strange circumstances.
As in the plot of this book, if my mother had passed away under mysterious conditions, I would want to know all about her and what happened. I would need some kind
of closure. Many thanks, Cindi

Leanna always weaves her storylines around people or events from the past that I can connect with, and also in a way that grabs my emotions. I love her writing and appreciate the chance to win this book.
