Now I'm giving away Finding Jeena by Miralee Ferrell!

To enter for a chance to win this book simply post a comment. Here is the question... Have you ever dreamed about starting over in a new place/city? Have you done that and if so, what happened? I'll go first. My husband and I met in New York. I'd lived there over 20 years, and he lived there over ten. Neither of us liked snow. So we sold everything and moved to Arizona after we felt God calling us to move somewhere else. No jobs yet, but I was hired via telephone interview two days before we planned to hit the road. We've never regretted it. We love Arizona. Now the story description below suggests Jeena didn't have it so good. Stepping into the unknown can be scary. So what's your story? I'll pick a winner via the Randomizer program next Sunday. Best wishes Everyone!

About the book:

Jeena Gregory's new job promised big things--new clothes, new townhouse, new car, new furniture... in short, a new life. But when rumors around town cast her boss in a shady light, Jeena worries her carefully-crafted world is about to crumble. Shaken to the core as she faces financial and emotional ruin, Jeena is suddenly confronted with her prejudices--and with a God she had long forgotten.

I've moved around so much, it feels like the first half of my 34 years was starting over constantly. I can't fathom doing it now. I am home where I was born and have roots. Like any tree, pull the roots, it may wilt. I'd rather stand tall and firm.

Happy Palm Sunday!

I've definitely thought about starting over somewhere else. In fact, at one time, that was my plan.
In 2002, I had made the decision to work where I was for one more year. At that point, I would decide if I wanted to stay put or move to parts unknown and start over. All my kids would be one their own, so I would be totally free to do whatever I wanted. A month later, I met the man I'm married to now.
I told him when we started seeing each other that he had to give me at least a year before expecting a final commitment. He said he'd give me one year and one day.
Well, one year MINUS one day, we were married. So, here I still am.

We posted about this giveaway on Winning Readings: http://winningreadings.blogspot.com/2010/03/finding-jeena.html

I've often wanted to start over! We've lived lots of places - I love Oregon, where we are now, but every time we vacation somewhere else, we check out real estate magazines and wonder what it would be like to move there...

I've wanted to move to the Southeast for some time. I live in upstate NY and as someone that suffers from clinical depression the constant snow/rain and cloudy days aren't always a help. Being outside is a great help to my mood and I long to live somewhere where I could be in the out-of-doors more often. And I've always thought of myself as a southern girl at heart.

Please include me.

I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and lived there for almost 7 years. But then my parents felt lead to leave Alaska and move back to the birthplace of my father - Florida.

It was scary, leaving Alaska and the only friends I knew. But i thank God every day for bringing us to Florida. We have now been here for over 10 years, and I have loved every minute of it! My friends here are closer to me than I could ever imagine and we attend an AMAZING church here. I love it

Some might consider this boring, but I've lived in roughly the same area for 62 years and don't envy those who move around. I would like to do a little more traveling, though!

I enjoy Miralee's writing and appreciate the chance to win her book.

Yes, I really want to move. My mother just moved, after 30 years of living here, to be with my sister across the state. I now have no family here at all. I would like to move out west.

I'd love to start over somewhere else, perhaps in Europe. But, alas, it's only a fantasy.

Hi gals, thanks for stopping by and entering for a chance to win Finding Jeena, the sequel to The Other Daughter. You don't have to have read the first one, don't worry, as each is a stand-alone. Jeena plays a strong, secondary character in the first book and now we get to find out who she is and what makes her that way.

My husband and I live a few miles from where we both went to highschool, but we've moved a number of times (once all the way to Alaska, another time to CA, another to the San Juan Islands) due to work. I'm ready to just stay put and not move again, but we might be jumping on our sailboat one of these days and 'moving' that way, LOL! I guess I'm not too old for a little more adventure in my life and it would make for some great writing experiences!

Hugs to you all, Miralee Ferrell

Oh, to answer the question...I suppose I've thought about moving and starting over, but live one town over from where I grew up. I can get to my childhood home (where my parents and brother still live)in less than 15 minutes!?! And my sister lives probably 5 minutes from them!

Yes, I have dreamed of starting over in a new place, and we have done it several times. We just can't seem to find the right place, and maybe we never will. But I hope so.
