About the book:
Song of Erin is a panoramic story that crosses the ocean from Ireland to America, featuring two of her most memorable characters. In this tale of struggle and love and uncompromising faith, Jack Kane, the always charming but sometimes ruthless titan of New York’s most powerful publishing empire, is torn between the conflict of his own heart and the grace and light of Samantha Harte, the woman he loves, whose own troubled past continues to haunt her.

I love historicals because I love learning about history, especially about peoples lives. I also love the feeling of being transported back in time by the story.

Why do I love historicals? One word: connection. Everyone loves to feel that they're connected (even if just in spirit) to some of those romantic figures. Then, of course, you have those shady ones that we all give a sideways glance at wondering if they're a lost kin somewhere in our past. LOL.

It started when I was in high school... and discovered that I could learn (and remember!) much more about history by reading Christian historical fiction than reading my history textbooks! :-) It made me love history.

I love reading historicals. Everything seemed so much easier then ~ and at the same time, everything was so difficult. One thing that stays the same ~ LOVE.

I adore historicals because a good writer will take me right into the heart of history, and may even inspire me to look into that place and time on my own. I love that it makes me appreciate the generation and nation God placed me in. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks.

I love historicals because I am a history nut and fictional stories make the time periods so much more real. Irish historicals are even more fun with our family coming from Limerick, Ireland. Please enter me.
I love stories that also have some history behind them. Entertained and learning at the same time. What could be better than that?
Greetings, I loved history in high school and college. Different cultures and ethnicity intrigue me! I had a friend who went to Ireland just to hear the authentic Irish music!
The Irish brogue fascinates me and when I read a story based in Ireland,
I imagine the voices. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks,Cindi

I have no Irish blood in me, but I love all things Irish. Maybe it started with the movie "Finnian's Rainbow" with Fred Astair . . . or Bing Crosby's "Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral" . . . or the Disney movie "Darby O'Gill" . . . or "The Unicorn" by the Irish Rovers . . . or Celtic Woman, Eden's Bridge, and River Dance . . . okay, enough said!
B. J. Hoff is close to the top of my favorites list. I loved the American Anthem series, and would love to win this book. Thank you for the opportunity.

I love to read, and if I read a book with history, I learn. And if that book is set in another country, I "travel" while I learn. To top it off, I'm part Irish. : )
I love historicals because you get such a wonderful feel for what it feels like to live in that time and place. I have learned so many historical facts by reading them. B.J. Hoff is a wonderful writer. I have enjoyed the books I have read by her. Have not read this one however so I am definitely interested.

Michelle,
I try to visit authors' blogs whenever I can, knowing how much I appreciate visitors myself. But I have to ask, how do you ever find time to do your own writing while maintaining such a full and beautiful site (So many wonderful book covers!)? Not to mention all the books you're reading..
As a writer of regencies, all I can say is that you, my dear, deserve a full curtsey. :)

My mother was Irish - her parents had the same last name before and after they married. The Irish have some really wonderful customs, and some really odd superstitions ~~ well, based on my mother's stories. I really enjoy historical books as well, so this book seems perfect! A combination of both. An example of one of her superstitions - you cannot put up a crib with wheels before your baby is born or it will die. When I did, I had my mother in tears. My baby however was fine.
I like historical fiction!
the cover is beautiful :)
Being that my middle name is Erin and that I am part Irish this book would be perfect for me!
And the winner is...
kamewh!
Thank you so much!! I love forward to reading it!
