Can you hear me screaming!?!

Tonight I arrived home from work and I noticed a plastic bag tied to my back gate. I thought, "Well, those UPS guys are finally getting smart." But guess what I found? An EMPTY bag!!! So what did I do? What any logical Christian girl would do, I thanked God that the culprit was locked up already so I wouldn't choke the doggie to death and I searched my 4 1/2 acre yard for the package. (Side note: so you don't think I'm cruel, we lock the dogs up behind a fenced area at night so the coyotes won't eat them. They each have their own doghouse to sleep in and everything so don't call the SPCA on me or anything.)

Anyway, come to find out the delivery was not one, but TWO packages. Thankfully the worst thing that happened was a small tooth mark in one book. My bad doggie must've already been put up by my kids before it had a chance to finish demolishing the packages. There were two books total. I have to tell you that dog is NOT my favorite and in fact I think the dumb pooch is clueless that he's even been bad. At any rate, I'm bringing the chewed packages to UPS again and showing them how SMART their delivery guys are. All they need to do is dangle the plastic bag on the OUTSIDE of the fence so the hungry idiot dog won't think it's a game to eat the thing. That would've prevented this whole incident. Sheesh. Now I know for sure my hubby is going to have to build a box for these people that don't get it that one of my dogs likes to eat plastic and cardboard like it's puppy chow. Double sheesh!

LOL, he sounds pretty smart to me--he likes to digest a good book!

I had a dog like that once. He was this big, long, lanky thing...dopey as the day is long and then some. I found him wandering the neighborhood trying to eat my neighbor's cat's food, so I took him in thinking someone had lost him. More likely than not, he had probably been dumped out in the middle of nowhere. He "slept" in the garage with our 2 other dogs (who didn't care much for him either). He ended up clearing out our garage by eating nearly everything in there...cardboard boxes, Christmas decorations & lights...if it was in there, he ate it. I kept him for 2 years till right before my daughter was born. Yes, I was kind...I took him to the SPCA and they found a home for him. I felt a little guilty not keeping him, but it didn't last long!

I feel your pain. I came home to a package sunk in 2 feet of snow! I thought, you couldn't have walked five more steps and put it behind the screen door. People don't have pride in their jobs anymore.

I agree... not fair that you didn't tell which books they were. hehe
That would really throw me on a drag for sure. I treat my books like fragile china. And if anyone abuses them... oh Lord have mercy on them. *grin*
Okay, I'm off to find the review you talked about in the email you sent to the loop.
