New giveaway! Now I'm giving away Love Finds You in Sun Valley, Idaho by Angela Ruth!

For a chance to enter the drawing to win this book simply post a comment answering the following question. Have you ever met someone and assumed they would be one way, but after getting to know them you found out they were nothing like you thought they would be? In other words, have you ever had a bias against someone and found out you were way off base? I will pick a winner using the Randomizer program next Sunday. Best wishes to you!

Love Finds You in Sun Valley, Idaho

About the book:

Actress Emily Van Arsdale has returned to her Idaho hometown - with an entire film crew in tow! With its stunning scenery and reputation for hosting celebrities, Sun Valley is the perfect setting for Emily’s newest romantic comedy. Tracen Lake is happy to work as a stunt consultant for the movie but not as thrilled to deal with a bunch of high-maintenance Hollywood types. But Tracen is surprised to discover in Emily a down-to-earth Idaho girl who does all her own stunts and loves the outdoors. As filming wraps up and Emily heads off to her next gig, will she be able to leave Sun Valley - and Tracen - behind?

My thoughts:

I don't have this book so I can't give an opinion. Sorry!

I'm usually pretty good at judging people and I try to wait until I get a chance to know them. So, no, I've not had that happen.

My husband says I am very good at judging people also. I always try to like everyone but sometimes there just something about a person I don't like. But I have never had this happen. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read this book.

Yes I have had that happen to me. For the most part I'm a good judge of character but I do remember judging a specific person that I thought was really snubby and judgemental (go figure) and it turned out they were just super shy. Please enter me in the contest!

I usually do not judge a person by what they appear to be at the first meeting. I have had people do it to me often. I dress very differently than many people in society today, and many people who have met me often assume that means either I am legalistic or judgmental of others, and I have been told numerous times that if someone continues to think that of me, they do not know me. = )
The only times I think I have been biased against someone was from a gut feeling of mistrust and I usually try to be careful to be openminded, but yet very careful as it has not proven to be wrong many times. martha(at)lclink(dot)com

Oh yea! Prior to my divorce I was super naive and took people at face value and trusted people when I shouldn't have. Now, I go with my gut, if I have a sneaky suspicion about someone I'm usually right.
Thanks for the chance!

I'm currently dealing with the opposite side of that question. I'm dealing with a person who I took at face value and accepted as a honest and forthright individual. Well... that didn't work out! Now the struggle is to not let this episode jade my thinking about anyone else. I've done well in my life generally thinking the best of people, but it still hurts to get burned.

I always thought I was pretty good at juding character but my track record has been wounded since after twenty-eight years my husband decided to file for a divorce. Thanks gahome2mom/at/gmail/dot/com

I have had the regretful experience of having a longtime friendship severed because of actions committed by said friend. Something I never would have thought they would do. Forgiveness was given but no reconciliation is possible at this time. It has definitely made me overly cautious.
