Got a cover for my book releasing toward the end of the year. Check it out.

My plan is to have this book, Somebody Help Me, release in October 2013, but it may happen sooner or later depending on the schedule for my other books and how things are moving along. Since I'm publishing this myself, I have some flexibility. Anyway, I like the irony of the peaceful picture in contrast with the actual title of the book. What do you think about that? He has a slight smile on his face. Is that good, or bad? She looks so content, but is she? Wait and see in the sequel to Somebody Love Me

And just for contrast's sake, here is the cover (shown below) of the first book in the series, so you can see how Missy has matured a bit since book 1.

My 14th book releases in June 2012!

Here is a blurb about the book (not the final approved blurb, but you get the idea...)

Bree Le Fleur moves to Arizona to heal from her past. She meets her neighbor Donny Garafalo Jr., race car driver and model. Unlike most, she's not impressed. After their disastrous introduction, Bree ends up needing Donny's help. They become friends and Donny decides Bree is the perfect girl for him. He won't inherit the family business unless he can change his ways. He believes dating Bree and attending church will persuade his father. While following his ruse, they fall in love and find faith. Things look promising until Donny hits the road again for his final racing circuit and Bree discovers a plot to harm him. She tries to tell him, but he won't listen, so she takes matters into her own hands. When he finds out, will he thank her for meddling, or send her packing? Is their love strong enough to make it through the ultimate test?

Here is a video that tells a bit of the story... to tease you, of course.

This story is one of my favorites and is releasing in June 2012 so be sure to stop back later.

All three revised covers in one post. What do you think?

These are the final covers. I like them because they are uniform in design. Do you like the new look for the series? The third model's skin tone is not as pale now. Pamela Morrisson, the same talented lady that designed my Tombstone bookmarks, made these for Sword of the Spirit (my publisher.)

It's Not About Her (book 3 in the Second Glances series) is finally releasing in 2012!

I just wanted to show you the cover that was designed for this book. I think it's cute. Thank you Pamela Morrisson for your creativity. The model is a friend of mine who used to live in my town. She's married to a youth pastor and has the cutest boys in the world (next to mine, of course.)

I'm doing it. I'm going to publish a book myself on kindle!

I already had a cover designed and everything. What do you think? The series will be called Journeys and the books will be 99 cents each. When the series is done I'll put all four of them together in paperback format to make one complete book. The titles are...

Somebody Love Me, book 1
Somebody Help Me, book 2
Somebody Want Me, book 3
Somebody Need Me, book 4

Here is the first cover. What do you think?

Okay, took the recommendation and had the cover tweaked. Thanks for the feedback!
Here is the new one...

My new book cover for my Dec. 2011 release!

About the book:

She longs for physical healing, but God uses someone from a dark time in her past to heal something more important…her heart. Ten years ago Raquel dumped Scott for an abusive man, only she didn’t know Scott loved her in a romantic way. She thought they were just good friends because Scott never made his feelings known. Ten years later they meet up again, only now she's a widow—emotionally fragile from years of abuse—and in need of a friend she can trust. She is taking care of her aunt who has cancer, but now her own health is failing. Scott never got over Raquel and he worries he will fall in love with her again. Her past rejection causes Scott to guard his heart as he helps her navigate the unwanted changes in her life. Over time he begins to trust her again as she fights discouragement over her diagnosis. He gives Raquel the unconditional love she has always longed for, but will that be enough?

Love my newest cover! Check out book 3 in the Tombstone Treasures series!

About the book:

Available June 1, 2011

Chet's response to an unexpected massage from Trinity embarrasses him, but he wants to see her again. Since he doesn't get any romance in real life, he's writing love stories on the side hoping to become a published author someday. So far he hasn't written a novel good enough to sell, but when he meets Trinity his muse not only returns, but his writing is stellar. Too bad it's only fiction.

Trinity is a massage therapist who has issues with men. Her last ex was a no good cheater. But she misses dating, and especially kissing. When she meets Chet she decides she must have him. They start dating and things heat up quickly. They are caught between wanting to prove themselves since their former relationships left them wounded, and doing the right thing, which is to wait for marriage. It proves to be more difficult than either of them anticipated.

If you loved the first two books, you will really enjoy this one. All books can be read as stand alone novels.

and the winner is...

Cover #3!

Teaser for the top of the back cover:

Sometimes for dreams to come true, you need to let go.

Back cover copy:

From an early age Diane Simmons was trained by her parents in the art of seduction, but she hates that about herself and wants to be loved for who she is, not what she looks like. Outwardly she appears to have everything a woman could want. She's a successful attorney with a perfect figure, yet she’s miserable and alone and often attracted to the wrong men. She longs for a husband and a family of her own, but men lie to her. She’s mystified, wondering why she can’t find true love when it seems like she’s doing everything right. After using fashion magazines and romance novels as guides for finding true love and continually failing, Diane gives up on romance after being lied to by yet another boyfriend. She finally realizes the world’s view of love is totally unrealistic and distorted. She wants to find a better way, but she has no clue where to look.

Dave Passel can never father a biological child. He loves his foster son deeply, as he would his own flesh and blood. Then something goes terribly wrong with the adoption before the final court date, and the State tries to reunite the child with the birth mother he's never known. Dave becomes desperate when the new caseworker accuses him of sabotaging visits with the birth mother and making his foster son sick to subvert the case plan. Dave, however, discovers that he has the legal right to a hearing before his foster son can be removed from his home. He hires Diane to fight for him in court. Despite his bad experiences with women—including his deceased wife—Dave must trust Diane as she advocates for his son. He clings to his belief in God’s sovereignty. If only he didn't struggle so much with letting go.

I need help ASAP deciding on the cover. They need the decision this weekend!

The final cover chosen for this project WILL be either # 3 or #7. I just need help deciding which one is the most attractive cover or which cover will pique the buyer's curiosity the most! So... here is the scoop. The heroine was a child beauty queen and now she's 29. She's too beautiful and can't seem to find the right guy because they always want to use her, not love her for herself. She's given up on men. The hero is a single dad who is adopting his foster child. He needs to hire an attorney (the heroine) to fight for his rights when the state threatens to take away his foster son. So which will it be? Help me decide and post your comment. For a close up view (to blow up the size of the pic) just click on it and it should fill your monitor. Thanks!

New cover for First Love (Tombstone Treasures, book 2). It's gorgeous!

About the book:

Josiah and Tara had enjoyed acting in their high school plays. They had also been each others first lover... in fact; most of the time they'd spent together had been in Tara's bed. When Josiah became a Christian, he left Tara to go to college and didn't look back.

Four years later, Josiah is back in town when his father has a near-fatal heart attack. When they meet up again they realize how much their separation had hurt each of them. But now Tara is a Christian and is trying to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Josiah wants Tara back, but neither knows how to relate to each other without the physical intimacy they once shared. They are determined to do things right this time, but find it more challenging than they'd anticipated.

American Idol for covers here! Which cover sings the most. Please vote!

Think of this as American Idol for book covers. We're eliminating all but the best covers that fit the theme of the book. So which is your favorite of these and then the winner goes head to head with the favorite in the first series of five. Please explain why you love (or don't love) a cover. You guys are the best! Oh, and here is the revised description. PLEASE read first as it has altered slightly. Thanks!!!

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing when you experience it in marriage... But what if you don't?

What happened in the hearts of Tony Perotta and Hope Williams after the affair was exposed and they went their separate ways? Did they ever struggle with memories from their past relationship, or with wishing things would've turned out differently? Was trust ever restored in their homes after their lives crashed and burned around them? Did they ever heal enough to enjoy their marriages as before, or were they even worse off after their sin was revealed?

Their Separate Ways continues the saga the year after the exposure of Tony and Hope's extramarital affair. It's an honest and close-up look at the inner workings of each of their hearts as they reflect on the painful memories resulting from that devastating choice. Experience with them the vast difference between couples who know true forgiveness and who have hope, and those who don't.

Comments about covers and story...PLEASE READ and comment.

Here is the deal. These comments have been great because they tell me what most of you perceive. This book is NOT the first book, which is Never Without Hope. This book is the sequel. The title will stay Their Separate Ways because it's the only title with that name if you look for it on Amazon. If you remove Their then you get bunches of books on Amazon.

As far as the contrasting pictures goes, Hope is the woman and she has experienced forgiveness and renewal in her marriage to her husband after the affair, so she is joyful because she has been forgiven despite the painful betrayal in the past. He is the man she was cheating with. He does not know forgiveness and his wife is hateful and won't let him forget what he's done so he is despondent and hopeless. So their emotional portrayal has nothing to do with each other and everything to do with their marriage situations. That said, how do you feel now about the pictures... PLEASE comment as this helps a lot!

New cover (rough draft) for my July 2010 release Never Without Hope

The font style and color may change as well as the design, but the center picture will not change. So what do you think about this potential cover?

About the book:

Hope believes she is above sexual temptation; that she would never break that commandment like her husband's previous wives had done. After all, she is a good Christian and a loving mother. She has no reason to stray . . . until her husband starts ignoring her needs and things begin to look hopeless. Though she clearly communicates her pain to her husband, he refuses to get help. She starts to wonder…Will she never have sex with her husband again? She soon learns that she, too, is capable of such betrayal when she succumbs to the unthinkable.

But things that first seemed sweet and reasonable given her painful situation soon produce a bitter taste when combined with the overwhelming guilt. No substitute will ever replace her love and desire for her husband. If only he would touch her like he used to. If only they could make love again. She misses him so much and wants to tell him the truth hoping it will propel him to do something to fix their problem, but she fears his rejection. Yet, she can't continue living such a hypocritical life. She knows it's wrong even though she continues to crave physical intimacy. Steeped in the quagmire of adultery, Hope must find her way back to solid ground to save her marriage. But will she lose everyone she loves in the process?

Here is the new cover for my April 1st release, which is the sequel to Danger at the Door. This book is about the hero's sister, Jovana, from the first book. See how the covers go together? If you loved Danger at the Door you are REALLY going to like In Plain Sight. I certainly like it more. Why? Because this book is my edgiest romance yet!

First Impressions by Michelle Sutton

First Impressions by Michelle Sutton

My cover is up for a vote on the Classic Romance Revival site. Polls close Sunday 2-7-10. The bummer is they had the wrong cover up on the view page until yesterday so from 1-23-10 until 2-1-10 people couldn't see mine, they saw someone else's. Anyway, it's fixed now. The vote button was always there, just not the right picture. Can we even it out some? Look at all five covers and then vote for the best one. I'm the only inspirational book in the bunch. :) And the cover artist gets recognition for her good work if my book is selected. But only vote for mine if you like it best! Click on the link above to see them.

Here is the link to the voting section if you want to vote for my cover. :)

Here is the cover for my January release from Desert Breeze!

I love this cover! Description of the book is below...

AVAILABLE JANUARY 2010

Sammie Carpenter understands how a uniform influences behavior. Wearing her Army fatigues puts her in the mindset of a soldier and donning her Class-A Uniform always helps her shift into Captain Mode. So what harm could come from her dressing like a saloon girl and strutting through the streets of Tombstone? She didn't know how to flirt to save her life, and she wasn't getting any younger.

When she met the lonesome stud cowboy, Jimmy, she knew he was the one. So why was their communication always so awkward? Couldn't he see that she was interested in him? No matter how hard she tried to win him over, she couldn't seem to get him to see past his first impression of her. But Sammie didn't give up easily. Somehow she would make him see that they were meant to be together, but how can she do that when all of her plans keep falling apart?
