New giveaway! Enter for a chance to win Sleigh Belles by Janice Hanna (with bonus review!)

About the book:

From Savannah to Montana... In 1916, Southern belle Alanna Lessing travels to Montana on a mission--to rescue her older sister from the influence of suffragettes and bring her back home to Savannah where she belongs. Alanna fears that her sister, Margaret, has allowed herself to be swept away by these newfangled beliefs. The Christmas season is drawing near, and sleigh bells are ringing among the snow-covered peaks. The charming town of Missoula begins to grow on Alanna, and so do a few of its inhabitants--particularly neighboring rancher Tanner Jacobs. Alanna takes it upon herself to turn Tanner into a true Southern gentleman. He plays along, in part because he likes being near her, and in part because he's intrigued by her very different way of life. Will their differences bind their hearts, or forever keep them apart?

My review:

There's just something about Janice's storytelling that always makes me smile. She has a way of creating endearing characters and yummy-as-hot cocoa-on-a-cold-night types of romances that end up being quite addicting. At first I thought a story about woman's suffrage in 1916 sounded... meh, at best. But I decided to give it a try since I always attempt to read books that I am doing a promo on my blog for the week the giveaway is posted. So I started reading and before I knew it I had finished the book in less than two days.

The heroine grew on me quickly. Her southern charm and manipulative ways were cute and endearing. The hero was absolutely adorable and the scenes where they communicated about southern etiquette was downright hilarious at times. I read a few phrases out loud to my husband, and he smiled, too. Anyway, I enjoy a story that has sound humor mixed it with real-life issues. Post-partum depression was a brilliant way to get the family together. It was also realistically shown. The way the story came together toward the end was heartwarming as well. Janice has crafted another winner with this book. I loved it!

Sleigh Belles was published by Summerside and released in October 2012.

Now for the question: To enter for a chance to win this delightful book, simply post a comment about which type of setting you prefer for romance novels? Southern, or western?

I'll select a winner next Sunday by picking a random winner from the "hat" which is a cool new program I found on the internet.

I've got a real weakness for western historicals by some authors. Janice writes great stuff! I've absolutely loved all of her "Love Finds You In" series books.

Southern or Western...that is difficult. I love both!

Ooh tough choice! Since I'm from the South I like southern stories but something about a western always makes me smile. Karen Witemeyer and Mary Connealy come to mind =)

While I read both, I lean toward Southern for romance. I guess I just love the southern accents and definitely how a southern gentleman treats a southern lady.

Sleigh Belles sounds like a good read from your review of it. The cover is eye catching too.

Blessings!
