About the book:
Kaye Redmond stages houses for resale, so masking trouble spots with strategic decor comes naturally. She does it in her personal life as well-her can-do attitude and ready smile disguising the emotional wear-and-tear of a failed marriage and raising a teenage daughter alone. But when her former mother-in-law comes back around, desperate for a place to stay while recovering from a botched facelift, Kaye begins to realize there's a much more authentic way to brighten one's countenance: look to God and His plan for her life.

I think that a limited amount of cosmetic surgery is okay. I had to have some myself after a horrible dog bite when I was younger. The only kind I'd probably have is maybe a little lipo.

I have "twin skin" on my stomach from the boys. It will never get back to normal no matter how much weight I lose or how much I exercise. But I've learned the value of being happy with yourself (and the value of a good pair of Spanx). So no surgery for me. :)

Are you kidding?! If I could have a facelift that would make me look 10 years younger or like Jaclyn Smith in her Charlies Angels day (okay maybe that would be twenty years younger), fit with my budget, never have to be redone, and it wouldn't hurt much...I'd be all over that.
I guess I'll wait until they perfect it some more:)
For some people, it may be the answer, but I see no reason for having cosmetic surgery myself.

I don't know that I would ever get any cosmetic surgery done. I guess I like me the way God made me. I'm with you no pain is my goal.

Sometimes as I age, I feel like I have "earned" the fine laugh lines
and crow's feet. I have a large birthmark on the left side of my face and had laser treatments done
to try and eradicate it. Unfortunately, I have the kind that comes back! I try to take care of my skin and don't see cosmetic surgery in my near future...

I think it depends on circumstances and situations. While I have had friends who had it purely for vanity reasons (and most regretted it, though some loved the results) I have also known people who had it for medically necessary procedures (and were thankful for it, and others resented the fact that they needed it in the first place). Any surgery comes with risks and shouldn't be taken lightly, but after all things are taken into consideration, and someone chooses it, I think it is their decision. As for me personally, I'd probably only get it for medically necessary purposes.

I think it's a personal choice. I'm okay when it's used to enhance, not so much when it's used to completely alter one's appearance (a la Michael Jackson).
I'd do a tummy tuck in a heartbeat. I'll probably need one after I lose all the weight I intend to drop. Might have to tuck a few other things too. Skin is not quite as elastic as it used to be.

I don't believe that I would have cosmetic surgery. That must mean that I'm pretty secure in my appearance. I would love to win this book! It sounds intriguing.

God does have a way of changing a persons continence, inside and out, giving hope in any situation. I love seeing people who have just discovered God, they have a wonderful beam all around them. I think it depends on the circumstances. I know that G-d made us the way He wants us so it isn't up to us to change our looks but I also think that there are certain circumstances like having a nose job when you can't breathe. I am very interested in reading this book so please enter me.

Would I ever have plastic surgery? in one word: NO. I am disabled with a nerve disorder that causes me to be in pain 24/7. I have had quite a few extremely painful surgeries that were necessary. There is no way I would choose to have a surgery that was not nesessary. If plastic surgery appeals to others, that's their decision.
