To enter for a chance to win this book simply post a comment that answers the following question. Have you ever read a book that was rewritten for the inspirational market and was originally written for the secular market? What did you think?
I'll go first. I read Liberty Blue by Robin Lee Hatcher that was re-released and rewritten as an inspirational title and called Loving Libby. I actually liked the original version better, but they were very, very similar. :)
About the book:
Bestselling author Lori Copeland (Outlaw’s Bride and A Kiss for Cade) weaves together elements of another classic Western romance with themes of redemption, forgiveness, and second chances.
Abandoned by his fiancĂ©e hours before their wedding, Walker McKay is determined to never let a woman near his heart again, but he needs an heir to inherit his ranch after he is gone. Courting someone new is out of the question, so he’ll have to find a wife another way.
Wealthy heiress Sara Livingston wants to be married, but her suitors are deemed unsuitable by her unreasonable father. When the opportunity to fill the bill for a mail-order bride comes her way, she grabs onto it with both hands.
Will Sara’s deception and Walker’s wounded heart keep them from finding what they are looking for? Or are they truly meant for one another?
Formerly titled Marrying Walker McKay, rewritten for the inspirational market.
My thoughts:
I am supposed to get this book to review but it hasn't arrived yet.

I have not read a book that I know of that has crossed markets. The book I am working on could go either way and I am deciding what way to take it. :O)

I read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers - not sure what the original was like, but the one that came out on the Christian market remains one of my all time favorite books

I have read some of Lori Copeland's other books remade for the Christian fiction market. They were good but I have never read the originals. I would love to win a copy of this book.

I agree with Mark. I read Redeeming Love and it's one of my all time favorites.
I was reading Robin Lee Hatcher's "Coming to America" series (I believe that is what it was called)and ordered 1 or 2 from Amazon.
They ended up being the secular version. I then ordered the inspirational versions but I did compare them some just out of curiosity.
I also read "Loving Libby" but only the inspirational version.
I usually prefer inspirational books although occasionally I will read a secular of a few favorite authors.

Email in profile and thanks for the chance. :)

No I can't say I've ever read an inspirational book that was originally written for the secular market. At least not to my knowledge.
I'd love to win this book thanks

Yes, I read a Teri Blackstock book that had been rewritten for the inspirational market. It was interesting, but I never read the original to compare the two. This book sounds good though. I like marriage of convenience books!

I believe some of the early Terri Blackstock books I read were rewritten for the Inspirational market. I love Terri's books, they were well done.

I am quite new to CF and so far have never read a book that was originally a secular version. Maybe I might do so if I win this one just to make a comparison :)
However I really only have come to the point of wanting to read inspirational books.
Count me in for this one.

I believe one of the books I have read before by Lori Copeland was originally secular. But I never read the original. I think it came out good though. Hard to tell without reading the original:)
But I would love to win this one!! Please enter me. Thanks!

I knew that some Christian authors like Robin Lee Hatcher had previously written for the secular romance market, but have never read any of their books there. Now you've gotten me curious!
I'd love to read Walker's Wedding and appreciate the chance to win a copy.

I have not read a book of this kind that I can remember. If I have it would have been so many years ago that I have forgotten.

Hi, I don't think any book that I have read was secular and then inspirational. Outlaw Wife sounds
like a very good story.
Many thanks, Cindi

I can't think of a book I've read that was rewritten for the inspirational market. But there have been some books that I've read where a reader may not necessarily know it's meant for the inspirational market and still does a good job of conveying God's love through the characters and story.
Lori's book sounds interesting, and I can't wait to see how the story pans out. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I have read a cross over book or not. I have read some secular books that could have left out a scene or two and crossed over nicely.
Thanks for the contest!
and the winner is...
Charity!!!
