About the book:
Englischer Kristie Matthews’ move to an Amish family farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, starts on a bad note as the young schoolteacher is bitten by a dog. A trip to the local ER leads to an encounter with an old man who hands her a key and swears her to silence.
But when Kristie’s life is endangered, she suspects there’s a connection to the mysterious key. While solving the mystery (and staying alive), Kristie must decide whether her lawyer boyfriend, Todd Reasoner, is really right for her....or if Jon Clarke Griffin, the new local man she’s met, is all he seems to be.
Mystery, romance, and a beautiful Amish settling....just the thing readers are clamoring for.
My thoughts:
This book was first published in 1998 (and this edition is Feb 2010) and I could swear I've read it before, but that would've been ten years ago so I can't say for sure. Regardless, Gail is a talented author, so this story should be a good one.

I love Amish settings in a story. It provides great moral content in the story. My favorite to date was The Choice.

I really like books about the Amish, especially ones that explore relationships between them and the "English". And, who doesn't enjoy a good mystery? This one sounds like one I would want to read.

First, I like your tag, Edgy Inspirational Author, glad to know there are more of us out there.
I'm just discovering the world of romance involving the Amish, and so far I'm enjoying what I've read. And, I like a good mystery woven into the pages.
I love reading Amish books. Love to win thanks

I love reading mysteries, I haven't read many that involved the Amish. It sounds really good.

The Randomizer picked Renee first but since I have no way to contact her and the rules and blogger is not letting me post comments again, I randomized again and this time Judylynn was selected by the program!
The winner is...
Judylynn!
Weird that it let me post it here but I can't post comments on other people's blogs.
