Now I'm giving away Sweet Waters by Julie Carobini!

To enter to win a copy of this book simply post a comment about whether or not you've ever moved back to your childhood home after moving away. If you want to tell us why you did that, go ahead and share. I'll go first. I did move back home after college graduation for a short time (about 9 months) and I did it because I couldn't afford both a car and rent. When I got a few roommates lined up I moved out. Then I ended up marrying my current husband. Anyone else? I'll pick a winner next Sunday.

About the book:

After her fiance dumps her, her sister relocates to Manhattan, and her mother remarries, Tara decides to move from Missouri to her childhood home of Otter Bay, California. But as she settles in and finds a new flame in firefighter Josh Adams, she discovers shocking family secrets that could turn her fairy-tale life into a soap opera.

My thoughts:

I read the first chapter and the writing is very easy to read. The tone of the story is honest and just dramatic enough to pique my curiosity. I hope to finish this book later and post a review when I'm done. Maybe even this week.

I too fit the bill.

I was born in Hamilton. They say home is where the heart is, and I learned that is too true.

My parents moved me to Nova Scotia at 12. There's really not much you can do about it at that age. So I had to suck it up and suffer. I made friends, but no family around, friends made no difference.

At 15 we moved back to Ontario, but still 4 hours from home. Well, as soon as I hit majority, I moved back home to Hamilton.

Ironically I now live just 5 blocks from my sisters home. I can't live without her.

Thank you for the entry. The book looks great.

I was born and raised in New York City. Hubby and I left there a long time ago and never had any desire to move back. Ironically we lived in Florida for 12 years before moving to Arizona and couldn't wait to move back to Florida. We did eventually and found that it just wasn't the same and back in Arizona knowing that this is where we will stay.

This book sounds great. Please enter me in drawing.

Blessings,
Jo

I graduated from high school and moved out west a year later. I've never been back and have nothing there to go back to.

I never moved away from my city, but my husband and I did end up purchasing the house I grew up in from my mom when she remarried and moved. It was kind of weird but kind of cool, too. :-) We lived there for about three years before we moved to the house we're in now. All in the same area. My small town can't get rid of me. I think I'm a lifer.

Please enter me for this book. I love, love, love Julie Carobini and haven't read this one yet.

After being on my own for several years, I gave up my apartment and moved back home to save money before I got married. My hubby had bought a house before we got married so it was only a few months that I was there.

Please enter me in the drawing.
Thanks

I still live in my parents' home. I can't exactly call it home, as we moved to Florida several years ago. While I miss my family in Massachusetts dearly, I don't know that I could ever go back either. I'm sort of in a holding tank, I suppose.

Anyway, the book sounds fabulous! Please enter me.

Yes, I did move back home for two month years ago. It was when my husband joined the Army. I went to live with my parents while he was in basic training. This book sounds wonderful. Please enter me. Thanks!

Nope, I've never moved back home... but my mom moves constantly so that wouldn't really be an option anyway!
