I'm giving away a copy of The Proposal by Lori Wick

To enter your name to win a copy of The Proposal simply post a comment about how your spouse (assuming you're female) proposed to you. If you don't want to do that then tell me the title of your favorite Lori Wick novel.

To be fair, I'll do both. My hubby caught me by suprise one day in the church parking lot. We were sitting in the truck and he asked me to marry him. As for my favorite Lori Wick novel, I'd have to say Pretense.

About the book:

A captivating tale of Christ's love at work. When Frank and Lydia Palmer discover Lydia's brother is the guardian of three children, they're horrified because he is well-known for his tyrannical nature. William, relieved to have a male heir without having to succumb to marriage, sets about raising the boys and hires a nanny for the girl. The brothers tolerate their gruffly kind superior, until they discover the cruelty of their sister's caretaker. When the situation erupts, Jennings goes to the Palmers for guidance. While there, he meets Marianne - who turns his beliefs about women and God upside down with her gentle reasoning and Christ-honoring lifestyle.

My proposal came as a surprise to me, because we had only been dating a week! On our second date, he said I am in love with you...will you marry me. I was shy, but knew the moment I laid eyes on him, he would be my husband, and now 30 yrs. later we are as much in love as the first time we met. I know this sounds kind of corny, but its true. I do believe that you have a soulmate, and I found him and consider myself blessed every day.

Blessings,
Sandy

Oh, I love Lori Wick. I'd love to win this book.

My hubby took me out to eat at a really nice restaurant and when we got back in the car he pulled out this small box and popped the question.

Let me preface this by saying this August will be our 19th anniversary!

It was a lazy Saturday with hubby and my daughter who was then 6 years old. My daughter got to choose what we ate for dinner on Saturday's (back in those days) and she chose "beans and weiners"; not too thrilling for hubby and I, but we always made what she wanted.

We were all sitting and eating our "beans and weiners" when hubby looked at me and said, "so, do you feel like getting married?"

Sooooooo romantic lol, but I'll never forget it!

Thanks

Hi, My future husband and I dated for 3 years long distance. The Christmas of 1985, he came home from California to see me in Illinois!
One evening he brought me this adorable white teddy bear with a red ribbon around its' neck. I adore teddy bears. He kept telling me to look closer and then I saw it. A beautiful engagement ring was hanging on the back of the red ribbon! We were married in May 1986. Many thanks,, Cindi

We were engaged on 3/4/08, four days before my birthday.
My now husband proposed at Snow Whites wishing well in Disneyland (my favorite place, and my favorite Disney Princess), telling me I was beautiful, wonderful, and that if I said yes it would make his wish come true. We were married six months later.

My proposal also came as a surprise. After a messy divorce, I found my first crush from highschool on MySpace and we began corresponding via email and phone until we were able to meet in person. A month before we were supposed to meet at a Christian retreat, he caught me off guard and while crying asked me to marry him in a phone converstation. He had wanted to wait until we met, but his patience ran out. He then surprised me with a ring when we finally met in person. I believe God meant for us to be together and cherish every moment we have together after 32 years apart. Thank you for the entry.

Lori Wick is my FAVOURITE author!! I'm not married, so I can't answer your first question... But my favourite of Lori's books would have to be The Princess! I borrowed it from a friend and read it three times in the month-and-a-half I had it. I own it for myself now =)
I'd love to win The Proposal!

His proposal was somewhat casual- it was on the couch in his mother's place in the middle of the night with just the two of us awake.

My proposal came at the age of eighteen after only dating for one week. We were in the car going down the highway,to see a married friend of mine. He just says will you marry me. I ask him if he was sure, and he said yes. So I said yes, and we've been married for 34 years.

We were on vacation and went out for walk on the beach as the sun started to set. I carry my camera with me at all times so we were taking goofy pictures all night. Then he told me to close my eyes because he had a present for me, when I opened them he was on one knee with the ring in his hand.

my husband got down on one knee... in the snow and freezing cold and proposed. It was very sweet.

I remember when my, now ex-husband, and I were so in love and we were talking about my brother and sister-in-law and how they drove to Miami Ok. to get married and got the license all in the same day with no waiting. All at once he looked at me and said,"I wonder how far it is to Miami Ok.?? Go ask your mother if she wants to take a ride with us (which is exactly what my brother had asked our mom).
So we went on a Sat not realizing it was a weekend and noone was in the court house (in 4 counties in Ok) LOL We drove all the way back home and I cried and he was disappointed so he said "Let's go back and get married Monday-----so we went back and got married in Miami and drove home to West Plains, Mo.. My mom figured the mileage and it was 999 mi for 2 trips there and back!! It lasted 19 years!!

My husband didn't really propose, we talked about marriage for a few years and one day we were in a jewelry store and he said we should get married so I said ok. So it was very boring and unromantic haha! And I've never read any Lori Wick books before. Thanks for entering me.

i haven't read any lori wick novel yet but i heard from a lot of people that this author is really amazing and has a great style in her writing.

Im not married yet and hopefully, my future husband will propose to me in a very romantic way. It doesn't have to be expensive or anything, just so i know he is 100% sincere and he gives hsi 100% effort to make his proposal then that would be great.!

I would love to win this book, i will let my boyfriend read it and hopefully, we will be happy forever!

My hubby was very nervous. He had no idea what to say. He took us to a very special place and held the ring out to me. He said, "Will ya?" And I said "of course". hehe

My hubby came to my family's house right after Christmas and we celebrated a late Christmas with him (more gifts). He was 'santa' wearing a santa hat and passing out the gifts. He said he forgot one in his room and came back with a ring box. He got down on one knee, Santa hat firmly in place, and proposed. I was crying so hard I couldn't answer...finally I nodded my head. After 17.5 years of marriage, he still steals my heart.

Without me knowing it when we went shopping he had planned to stop by and look at diamond rings. He asked me if I would marry him if he bought me one! Of course!
