About the book:
A Little Bit of Charm, the third book in bestselling author Mary Ellis's New Beginnings series, is about fresh starts...and how faith in God and His perfect plans provide the peace and joy all long for.
After the death of her parents and then watching both of her older sisters find happiness in homes of their own with husbands who adore them, Rachel King yearns for a new beginning. Her cousin Sarah lives near a thoroughbred stable in Kentucky, and working around beautiful horses is Rachel's dream come true. She leaves Lancaster County to find a job at Twelve Elms Stables and believes God has answered her prayers.
And then she meets Jake, an attractive and charming Englisch man. At first she refuses to go out with him, but he eventually convinces her to give him a chance. When Amish men who also wish to date Rachel start encountering strange mishaps, she wonders if Jake is really who he seems to be.
What does a young woman do when her heart is pulled in two directions?
My thoughts: I don't have this book to review, but it sure has a sweet cover!
Now for the question: When you look at a book cover and see a bonnet on a female character, what is your first thought?
Have fun with this question. A winner will be chosen next weekend.

Since I simply love Amish fiction books, my first thought when I see a book cover with a bonnet on a female character, I simply have to pick up the book to see what it is about. I'm usually thinking, oh boy, another Amish book!

My first thought would be that it is an Amish book. I would jump to the conclusion that it is a light-hearted clean read, although lately there are some good Amish mysteries that have come out.

With me if it doesn't I don't pay to much attention to them. I love reading about the Amish.
Bonnet - female character - My first thought is Amish Christian fiction - my favorite kind of book! I read every one I can get my hands on. I also think of Laura Ingalls Wilder - depending on the look of the bonnet.

It kind of depends on the style of the bonnet! When I see a woman on the cover of a book, with a bonnet, I also try to guess an age...Sometimes, I assume that it is a colonial period book and then look at what else I can see on the cover. Mennonite, Amish, etc. I even may think the character is somewhat passive, but, often times, that is not the case. And, I love that...
Many thanks, Cindi

Amish is the first thought, the second historical fiction such as pioneer type stories. I love to read about them both!
When I think of a bonnet, I think either Amish or Historical. Mary Ellis is a fantastic author. I love Mary's books. I remember pictures of my great-grandmother working in the garden with her bonnet on. Please enter me in the giveaway. Thank you!

My first thought is usually, "Hmm... have I already read this one?" Followed by, "This looks good!" And then I wonder if the author really knows their stuff or if they're just jumping on the bonnet bandwagon. I don't like to read books by people who haven' treally spent any time with the AMish b/c they're not authentic enough. Thanks for the chance to win!
When a see a book cover with a bonnet on a female character I say to myself, "Is that an Amish book? It is! I must read it!!" Thanks for the chance to win a copy of your book.
