New giveaway! Now I'm giving away Zoe Mack and the Secret of the Love Letters by K. Dawn Byrd.

Now here is the question. Do you enjoy mysteries? What do you like about them. Easy question this week, but make sure to answer it to be included in the drawing. I'll select a winner next Sunday.

About the book:

Zoe's cousin Emma thinks she's the recipient of some sick joke when an old boyfriend she thought dead shows up on the internet. Can Zoe solve the mystery that's causing Emma so much pain when her attraction to the town bad boy is so distracting?

When Zoe Mack moves in with her grandparents to start college, she's thrown into more mystery than she bargained for. Her cousin, Emma, is terrorized by a stalker who breaks into her house and leaves a photo-shopped image of Emma hanging from a tree. Nothing is as it seems and Emma soon learns that even the man she thinks she can trust is suspect.

Zoe can't wait to reunite with Nate, the bad boy who doesn't talk about his feelings much, but the passionate kiss he gave her last summer had to have meant something. When she arrives back in town and discovers that he's in trouble with the law, she must take matters into her own hands in order to clear his name. She has her hands full with a needy Emma, a cop who gives her the creeps, and Nate, the guy she desperately wants to call her own. Can Zoe solve the mystery, clear Nate's name, and make him fall in love with her?

My review:

Zoe Mack and the Secret of the Love Letters was a fun mystery with a lot of twists and turns. I'm not much of a mystery fan, but this story held my attention. I enjoyed the tension between Nate and Zoe and watching their relationship develop as she agonized over his future and wanting to help him out of the mess he was in. The story had a YA feel to it because Zoe was always thinking about that next kiss. Then again, I was the same way when I was her age. I enjoyed the insanity of the chase and the way Zoe and Nate tried to sleuth even though they were novices at it. Though I suspected early on who the stalker was, it was still fun to see it play out in the end. This mystery is the first in a series of Zoe Mack Mysteries. It's another entertaining YA novel by an author who really knows how to cook up a tale of intrigue. So check it out.

Zoe Mack and the Secret of the Love Letters was published by Desert Breeze and was released in January 2012.

I love trying to figure out the answer to a mystery before the main character does. :)

I like mysteries--nice to try to work things out, but nice not to feel like I have to work them out--enjoy the surprises--enjoy how the twists and turns keep me reading.

Thanks for all the comments! I really enjoyed writing the Zoe Mack books. I just finished the second one, Zoe Mack & A Case of Fatal Attraction, which will be out in June.

I love mysteries! I love the thrill of trying to figure out who did it before the author gives it away! I am a huge fan of crime shows probably because of that!

I love to read mysteries, but have found they're the hardest genre to write.
