Hubby's review of Deceit by Brandilyn Collins.
About the book:
A harrowing stand-alone novel from Seatbelt Suspense® author Brandilyn Collins. Seven years after her the disappearance of her best friend, Linda Jackson, skip tracer Joanne Weeks must locate a witness who can put the man who Joanne knows to be Linda’s killer behind bars—before he silences Joanne for good.
Hubby's review:
Fans of Brandilyn Collins will not be disappointed with her latest release. The very first page says this... "Some evil shouts from rooftoops, some scuttles in the dark. The greatest evil tips it's face toward light with shining innocence. Baxter Jackson shone with the worse of them."
Deceit starts with twists and turns that keep you flipping the pages. The story builds to the point where it's hard to tell where things are going to go. The author has a way of pulling you in and making you sense the fear so much that you worry about the characters. It's hard not to sit on the edge of your seat while reading any of Brandilyn's books, this being another perfect example of seatbelt suspense. However, the relief when things finally resolve is more than satisfying.
It's difficult to say more without divulging some spoilers, so you'll have to read the book to find out why this story is so amazing. If you enjoy mind-blowing suspense, you'll love Deceit.
